Their success story began in 1890, when Harry Stevens sold his Hot Dachshund Sausages for the first time at the home stadium of the New York Giants. Today hot dogs comprise up to 25 % of the revenue of a concession stand in a sports stadium.
The reason for this success lies close at hand: hot dogs become so truly appetizing with the help of the rest of the team: mustard, ketchup, fried onions, pickles, mayonnaise, and tasty sauces round out the line-up. Especially popular: the Hot-Dog-Bar, where each customer can heap on the extras for their favorite dog.
